How much does a changeover clean cost in Glasgow?

If they can’t or won’t, you choose: the value of the unfinished items back as a refund or Cleanifiq credit, a new provider for just those items (you see the price first), or both. On a tight changeover, report it the moment you see it: the fix window can run past your next check-in.
- Yes. Every short-term let in Scotland needs a licence from the local council; existing hosts had to apply by 1 October 2023. In Glasgow the licensing authority is Glasgow City Council. Check gov.scot and the council for the conditions that apply to your property.
- Before a provider can take bookings we check photo ID, proof of address and public liability insurance, plus a criminal record check (Basic Disclosure Scotland or equivalent) and right to work where it applies. Documents with expiry dates are re-checked when they expire. New providers are covered by Cleanifiq’s insurance for their first three jobs while their own cover is verified. Every review on a provider’s profile comes from a booked, paid job.
- You choose at checkout: pay a deposit (20% of the job, or the provider’s minimum call-out fee if that’s higher) or pay in full. If you pay a deposit, the balance is due by 7:30am on the day of the job. Your money goes to Cleanifiq, not the provider, and is released to the provider only after they’ve completed the job on the platform. There is no customer fee: the price you see is the price you pay.
- Yes, you can cancel your booking, but cancellation fees may apply depending on timing. More than 2 weeks before: full refund with no deductions. Between 2 weeks and 2 days before: a payment processing fee of 1.69%–5% (depending on payment method) is retained and the rest is refunded. Less than 2 days before (or failing to pay by 7:30 AM on cleaning day): your deposit is retained as a slot reservation fee. After the provider starts: you owe the minimum callout fee or work completed, whichever is greater. Whenever money comes back to you, you can take it as Cleanifiq credit instead of a refund, sometimes with a bonus on top. This policy keeps things fair for both customers and Glasgow providers.
